Al-Binyah Ad-Dalaliyah li Al-Iman fi Kitab Aqidah Al-Awwam bi Muqarabah Al-Huqul Ad-Dalaliyyah wa At-Tahlil Al-Mukawwini

Abstract

This study specifically aims to analyze the semantic field and components of meaning of the sixth articles of faith in the scripture Aqidatul Awwam by Sheikh Ahmad Marzuki, also aims to analyze the relationship between the two in the construction of faith understanding. This research is qualitative research, using descriptive-analytical design with content analysis approach. The primary data source from the text of the scripture Aqidatul Awwam, while secondary data sources are books and related literature. The data collection technique used is documentation. The data analysis techniques include data reduction, coding, and inductive and deductive approaches. The results showed that the semantic field of the articles of faith has two main elements: the field of conceptual meaning based on the object of faith and the field of implicative meaning based on spiritual activity. The components of meaning in this study were analyzed in detail such as the obligatory of Allah SWT, and the nature of messengers. The relationship between the components of meaning with the semantic field is shows the existence of causality, the components of meaning act as the foundation for forming concepts, while the semantic field serves as a holistic framework that integrates all elements into a systematic system of meaning. This study successfully provides implications in the form of modern semantic analysis models that can be applied to classical Arabic texts, and can be integrated into the learning curriculum applied in a particular institution.
