This study examines the use of artificial intelligence in maharah kalam (Arabic speaking skills) learning at STIT Al Muslihuun Tlogo Blitar within the context of the Society 5.0 era. It aims to explore how artificial intelligence supports speaking practice, facilitates learning interactions, and contributes to students’ oral communication skills. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed descriptively to identify patterns in the implementation of artificial intelligence and the challenges encountered during the learning process. The findings indicate that artificial intelligence has the potential to support students’ speaking practice and provide additional opportunities for learning interaction. However, its use remains constrained by users’ adaptation to the technology and the availability of supporting resources. These findings suggest that the integration of artificial intelligence into Arabic speaking instruction requires careful consideration of students’ learning needs, technological readiness, and institutional conditions. The study provides practical considerations for designing artificial intelligence-assisted speaking activities that complement lecturers’ roles and support meaningful interaction in Arabic language learning.
