This study analyzes the implementation of the Team Game Tournament (TGT) learning model on the topic of fiqh of buying and selling (fiqih jual beli) in Islamic Religious Education at SMPN 3 Peterongan. The research employed a quantitative pre-experimental method with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design, conducted in May 2026 and involving 24 students of class VIII B. The TGT model was implemented in two meetings through collaborative group activities combined with academic games and tournaments. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests and analyzed using JASP software. The findings revealed a significant improvement in learning outcomes, with the average pre-test score of 55.83 increasing to 89.17 in the post-test, an improvement of 33.34 points. The Shapiro-Wilk test showed the data were not normally distributed, so the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test was applied and confirmed a significant difference between the two results. These results indicate that the TGT learning model effectively improves students' understanding of the concepts, pillars, and procedures of fiqh of buying and selling in Islam, and can be considered an effective alternative strategy for Islamic Religious Education.
