Botanical pesticides in organic farming This tobacco plant is widely planted in Manunggal Village, and from the harvest many unsold tobacco leaves are considered useless due to the lack of public knowledge about the benefits and content of this plant. Botanical pesticides are pesticides made from plants. Pesticides also have advantages such as compounds that are easily decomposed so that they are safe for the environment, cheap and easy to make by farmers, do not cause poisoning in plants, are compatible when combined with other controls, and healthy agricultural products do not contain hazardous chemical residues. To maximize the tobacco yield of the Manunggal Village community, pesticide-making training is needed for the village community. In addition, by making this pesticide, it can also help the village community in the economic sector, where this pesticide increases the selling price of tobacco residue or low-quality tobacco. The approach method used in the implementation of community service activities in the KKN-PPM scheme includes demonstration and training methods carried out in socialization and training activities for making pesticides from tobacco waste or plant residues from group 8 to Gapoktan and the forestry service. From the results of this training, the business needs of farmers who initially used expensive chemical pesticides. By using homemade organic pesticides from dry tobacco plant residues, it can reduce more expenses, and can develop farmers' businesses.
